BridgingApps: a database for discovering assistive apps
A quick note this week on an awesome database
Happy Tuesday folks!
Due to the holiday, this week’s newsletter is short and sweet. Easterseals Crossroads, an organization supporting independence in the disability community for over 85 years, did a fantastic presentation today regarding accessible tech on smartphones and tablets (the presentation material is able to be accessed here).
A tiny piece of the presentation that I thought you all would find incredibly useful is a database they shared called BridgingApps.
BridgingApps has collected almost three thousand accessibility apps that work on iPhone, iPad, Android, or (preferably!) all. Users are also able to filter by:
Review status
Category
Age (of user)
Price
Skill
Common Core (Common Core Standards Initiative)
TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills)
Grade Level
Mobile Device
Enjoy, and have a great week!
